Introduction to our organization
Originally the Legal Affairs Division was under the responsibility of the Discipline and Law Section Human Resource Management Division Office of the University Chiang Mai University
Office of the University is the central division within the University and is responsible for 10 disciplinary and lawful tasks which are
– Investigations
– Disciplines
– Dismissals such as dismissals according to unsuitable behavior or poor reputations
– Appeals
– Guilt Pleading of an officer
– Contracts
– Drafting regulations civil cases criminal cases governing cases insolvent cases and
Copyright cases
– Providing lawful advice
– Governmental regulations
– Other special assignments
Later Chiang Mai University announced on the 27th August 2008 that each division under the office of the University shall have greater responsibility thus founding the Law Affairs Division as the division under the direct supervision of the office of the University and will be responsible for the followings
The Law Affairs Division is responsible for lawful tasks that are involved with the University commitment both inside and outside organizations the disciplines of the governmental officers employees and university stuff The responsibilities also cover the issue the amendment and providing advice related with the acts regulations announcements of the university and other assignments involved with the law
